Chris Besey serves as Mendonoma Health Alliance’s Director of Operations, overseeing the organization’s day-to-day operations and supporting the growth of its programs and staff. In this role, he ensures efficient systems, smooth coordination across teams and partner agencies, and effective implementation of initiatives such as MHA’s Mobile Medical Clinic, which provides primary care to residents across the rural South Coast.

Chris brings more than 20 years of senior-level nonprofit management experience, including program design, finance, and evaluation, along with a strong emphasis on operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. His earlier career in the software industry provides technical expertise that enhances collaboration with partner agencies and technical teams, and supports streamlined data communication throughout MHA.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing from San Francisco State University. As a frequent visitor for over 15 years while working with other non-profits on local issues, Chris became a full-time Mendonoma resident in 2000. His long-standing connection to the area and deep understanding of the community continue to inform his work in advancing MHA’s mission to improve the health and well-being of coastal communities.
