Janis Sites has been with Mendonoma Health Alliance in 2017 and serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. In her role, Janis assists with managing communications with the Board of Directors and provides support to ensure daily operations run smoothly. Janis plays a key role in ensuring that MHA runs efficiently, helping staff focus on what matters most—serving the community.

A long-time local, Janis graduated from Point Arena High School, and returned to Gualala—the place she’s always called “home”—in 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare with a minor in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento.

Janis brings decades of experience in communications, collaboration, and problem-solving, shaped by her work as a medical biller and office manager.  She is motivated by a genuine desire to make a difference, contributing every day to MHA’s efforts to improve health and well-being along the coast.

She is certified in a variety of health and wellness programs, including pre-diabetes coaching and HIV/HCV counseling, and has completed additional coursework in addiction and mental health. She is also qualified to provide a range of health screenings, including blood pressure, A1C, cholesterol, HIV, hepatitis C, and COVID-19.
