Katie Barbane joined Mendonoma Health Alliance in 2024 as a Peer Recovery Coordinator and now also provides Care Coordination services. A resident of the Mendonoma area for the past decade, Katie originally hails from Napa Valley.
Katie brings a deep foundation of lived experience and strong community connection to her role. Before entering the field of community health, she worked as a professional hairdresser for over 11 years, honing her skills in active listening, empathy, and relationship-building—qualities that now enhance her ability to support others on their wellness journeys. Katie is also a small business owner, providing salon services to many local community members.
In recovery since 2022, Katie takes a trauma-informed approach to peer support, fostering environments where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered. Her authenticity and compassion make her a trusted resource for those seeking guidance and encouragement.
Dedicated to strengthening recovery supports and improving access to care across the region, Katie is passionate about walking alongside community members as they pursue healing, recovery, and overall well-being.
